Stacey A. Sarmiento, D.P.M.
Stacey A. Sarmiento, D.P.M., owns and operates the Gates Podiatry Center. Dr. Sarmiento is dual-board certified from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Orthopedics & Primary Podiatric Medicine. A graduate of the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Sarmiento completed her Podiatric Surgical Residency at New York College of Podiatric Medicine and her Podiatric Orthopedic Residency at FDR VA in Montrose, New York. She is affiliated with Unity Health Systems and Westfall Surgery Center, both in Rochester, New York; Auburn Memorial Hospital in Auburn, New York; and ECMC in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Sarmiento has been appointed to the State Board for Podiatry. Appointments were made by the members of the Board of Regents. This is the first time Dr. Sarmiento has been appointed to the state board. Her term began on November 1, 2006 and will continue until October 31st, 2011. In her new role, Dr. Sarmiento will advise and assist the Board of Regents and the State Education Department on matters of professional regulation. There is a state board for each the twenty-eight licensed professions.
